My process begins by pulling a watercolor monoprint. Then I build a composition with layers, experimenting with textures as I go along. I love flowers and all kinds of organic shapes, so they tend to appear as I'm painting. Watercolor affords me the most spontaneous and unpredictable colors. My childhood village has a small odd-sized park with various flower beds. It's surrounded on all sides by roads, construction and buildings. My painting is in response to the strange settings.
